Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte is a classic gothic novel with a tint of horror set in the nineteenth century in the hills of Northern England. The book is highly mistaken for a romantic tale of love, it is not. It is a lovestory of pure obsession. It is dark, wild, violent and ironically, everything at the lack of love. Heathcliff is the central character of the novel and you cannot not hate him.
